FEED THE BIRDS is a privately funded avian rescue and education organization that has been serving the Wasatch Front for the past three years. Our goal is to help birds and the humans they live with to have the best relationship possible.
Do you have a question about your bird? We have experience with birds from finches to macaws. We can help with questions on diet, habitat, and behavioral issues such as biting, screaming, and plucking. Individualized help via email is FREE.
We also offer an avian education program to schools and other organizations at a minimal cost. Our goal is to help children and adults develop a caring respectful relationship with birds. We teach about bird habitat, migration, and birds in captivity.
We also help to facilitate bird adoptions for individuals who can no longer care for their bird companions. There is no cost to surrender a bird to FEED THE BIRDS. We do request a history upon surrender to help us to address any medical or behavioral problems before placing the bird in a permanent home. For those interested in adopting through our organization, there is a small adoption fee, which varies according to the costs of an individual bird while in foster care. Birds are NOT adopted on a first come, first served basis. We do not place a bird until we find a home that we believe will be a very good match.
